NativeFunds ("we", "us", "our") is a networking platform that connects people in India who are raising capital — farmers, founders and local businesses — with people who want to back them, and provides curated business, agriculture and general news. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

We are a networking and discovery platform only. We do not process payments, hold funds, act as a broker, or provide financial, investment or legal advice. Any agreement, or transfer of money, equity or profit-share, happens directly between users, off our platform, at their own risk.

1. Who we are

NativeFunds is operated from India. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@nativefunds.co.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us when you sign up:

Name, email address, phone number
Date of birth and gender
Your location (city and state) — used to show you nearby people, raises and news
Password (stored only as a secure hash — we never see or store your actual password)
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and Google account identifier from Google

Information fundraisers provide for verification (only if you choose to raise funds):

GST number and registered business address
Photographs of your business, farm, shop or premises
A short video for verification
Identity documents you submit to prove who you are

This verification information is reviewed by our admin team to award the verified shield. It is used solely to confirm that a fundraiser is genuine, and is not shown publicly except for material you deliberately publish on your profile.

Information created as you use the platform: posts, updates, comments, likes, follows, messages you send, raises you create, and profile details you add.

Information collected automatically: basic technical data needed to run the service — device and browser type, and a session cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Push notification data: if you turn on notifications, your browser gives us an anonymous subscription token so we can send you alerts. It contains no personal information and you can switch it off at any time.

3. How we use your information

To create and run your account, and keep you logged in
To show you relevant people, raises and news based on your location
To let you post, follow, comment, message and connect with others
To verify fundraisers and award (or remove) the verified shield
To send notifications you have opted into (likes, comments, follows, messages, the daily paper)
To review reports of scams, fraud or abuse, and to keep the platform safe
To respond to your questions and requests

4. What is public and what is private

Public: your name, profile photo, city, verified status, and anything you deliberately publish — posts, updates, comments and live raises.

Private (never shown publicly): your email, phone, date of birth, password, GST number, identity documents, verification photos and video, and the content of your direct messages. Verification documents are seen only by our admin review team.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

With other users — but only the public information described in section 4
With service providers who host and run the platform on our behalf (our cloud hosting provider and the push-notification delivery service), bound to protect your data
With Google, only if you choose Google sign-in, per Google's own privacy policy
When legally required — to comply with a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or the public

6. News content

Our news section shows headlines and short summaries drawn from public RSS feeds published by third-party news organisations, with a link out to the original article. We do not claim ownership of that content; it belongs to the respective publishers. We show summaries and link to the source rather than reproducing full articles.

7. Data security and retention

Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Verification documents are access-restricted to the admin review team. We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information, though some records may be retained where required by law or to resolve disputes.

8. Your rights and choices

Access and correction: view and edit your details anytime in Settings
Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing privacy@nativefunds.co
Notifications: turn any notification type on or off in Settings, or disable them entirely
Blocking and reporting: block any user, and report anyone you believe is a scam or is behaving abusively

9. Children

NativeFunds is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we make significant changes we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
